Hello and welcome to Gossip Time, a weekly guide to the stars by Allie Jones. This week: an actress and a football player agree to disagree, a comedian and another actress get closer than ever, and Kate Hudson wears an outfit you have to see to believe.
Can two multi-millionaires with slightly different political views make it work? That is the question we must ask ourselves this week, as we consider the relationship between embattled NFL star Aaron Rodgers and his fiancée, actress Shailene Woodley. Rodgers, 38, and Woodley, 30, have been engaged for about a year, but it seems their relationship has come under some strain as Rodgers has become more vocal about his anti-vax views. In December, People reported the couple had a “non-traditional relationship” after Woodley failed to recognize Rodgers’ birthday on her Instagram page. (An important tradition.)
“They have a different, non-traditional relationship,” a source told the tabloid at the time. “Shailene and Aaron are still together. It's not odd they don't post about each other on their birthdays in that sense, and are very private about things.”
This week, after Rodgers claimed the public was rooting against him in the NFL playoffs because of his decision to not get vaccinated and then lie about it, People published another update on his relationship with the Big Little Lies actress. A source claimed once again that the couple does things a little bit differently than the rest of us, but it’s NOT odd and we should NOT judge. Here’s the deal: Rodgers and Woodley “agree to disagree” when it comes to stuff like vaccines, getting medical advice from Joe Rogan, voting, etc.
“They are not talking about their politics, and they never really have,” said a source. “They disagreed on a lot of things. Early on, they decided to agree to disagree about things and not debate them.”
Is this working? Well, as far as we know Rodgers and Woodley have yet to set a wedding date. But then again, they have a non-traditional relationship, so maybe an engagement ring signifies something totally different to them.
Remember when Olivia Munn dated Aaron Rodgers? The actress, now 41, broke up with the quarterback in 2017 after three years of dating (and a rumored engagement). She even moved to Green Bay to hang out with him during the football season! I bet that, in the end, she’s glad things turned out the way they did. According to E! News, her relationship with John Mulaney, 39, is going better than ever. A source told the gossip outlet that the two have — you guessed it — grown even closer since the birth of their baby, Malcolm Hiệp Mulaney, in November.
“Olivia and John have become much closer since the birth of their son,” a source “close to Olivia” told the site. “They are very committed to each other and raising their son together. Olivia is smitten over John and loves seeing him as a dad. It's going really well and he has been a huge help. It was a huge adjustment for Olivia and he's been trying to make her feel as comfortable as possible.”
Well, that all sounds good. The source also noted that Munn and Mulaney are “living under one roof,” which I guess is not always a given in celebrity relationships.
In addition to the fact that they are closer than ever, it may please you to learn that Munn and Mulaney are not the kind of celebrity parents to post photos of their children with little emoji stickers over their faces, à la Dax Shepard and Kristen and Bell. In fact, Munn and Mulaney have both shared several photos of Malcolm, including some this week from a playdate he had with Henry Golding’s baby. Both babies are very cute.
STUFF BY HILARY DUFF: This week, Hilary Duff had Rugrats on the brain. She posted this photo comparing her baby daughter Mae to the Cynthia doll from the series:
And here’s her caption: “Long live Angelica’s doll Cynthia .. that cut was savage. Angelica, you and your doll always scared me buuut you WERE queen 🙌🏼”
I’m not sure I totally follow all this, but I’m glad we’re having fun.
Finally, I’ll leave you with this photo of Kate Hudson wearing the greenest sweater I have ever seen in my life on her way to The Drew Barrymore Show:
On closer inspection, her skirt is very green, too. Kudos to her stylist for finding the most green.

Do we think that The Most Green is so that people will photoshop it, and she becomes a meme?
