Hello and welcome to Gossip Time, a weekly guide to the stars by Allie Jones. This week: a celebrity couple kisses for the camera, another celebrity couple rides a little bike, and Kirsten Dunst has fun.
Is now a good time to make out with someone on the street in New York? Jack Antonoff, 37, and Margaret Qualley, 26, say: Sure, yeah! The famed music producer and actress/sneaky park girl were photographed kissing each other in various sidewalk locations in the city this week. You know what that means: They’ve probably been making out in their personal time, too. They also got ice cream at Milk bar:
The timing of this relationship reveal is interesting. Neither Antonoff nor Qualley is a big paparazzi magnet, but they just so happened to have cameras all over them two days after the allegedly 24-year-old pop star Lorde addressed rumors about her relationship with Antonoff in a New York Times profile. For some time now, fans have suggested that Lorde and Antonoff are dating, or have dated, or you know, something is going on, but the professional pair has always denied it. In the profile, Lorde explained her relationship with Antonoff this way: “He’s like a partner to me. We’re in a relationship. It’s not a romantic relationship, but we’ve been in it for seven years, and it’s a really unique thing, so I don’t begrudge people maybe not being able to understand it.”
And now we know that Lorde couldn’t be dating Antonoff even if she wanted to, because Antonoff is dating Andie MacDowell’s youngest daughter.
What do we know about Qualley? The last time she was in the tabloids, unfortunately, she was publicly making out with Shia Labeouf. (The two apparently broke up after Labeouf’s former girlfriend FKA Twigs sued him for sexual battery, assault, and infliction of emotional distress at the end of last year. Qualley has since shared a supportive message for Twigs on Instagram.)
Before that, Qualley was spotted several times with Pete Davidson — the two bopped around the Venice film festival together in 2019, and MacDowell told People that they had a “beautiful relationship.” Antonoff, meanwhile, is best known for his long-term relationship with Lena Dunham, which ended dramatically in 2018. (Incidentally, Qualley and Dunham worked together on Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time In Hollywood shortly thereafter.)
So far, the tabloids have not given us any source quotes about Qualley and Antonoff being excited about their budding relationship, but I’m sure that’s coming. In the meantime, Lorde’s new Antonoff-produced album is out today!
In more exciting public relationship news: Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz were papped together for the first time yesterday. The very attractive pair have been rumored to be dating since January, just after Kravitz filed for divorce from Karl Glusman. Here they are riding a little BMX bike together in the East Village:
Deuxmoi also posted photos of Tatum and Kravitz earlier in the week walking around McCarren Park, which is right by my apartment, not that you care:
Tatum, 41, and Kravitz, 32, reportedly met during the development process for Kravitz’s forthcoming directorial debut, Pussy Island. Kravitz told Deadline in June that she specifically sought out Tatum for the lead role: “Chan was my first choice, the one I thought of when I wrote this character. I just knew from Magic Mike and his live shows, I got the sense he’s a true feminist and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter.”
I also get the sense that Tatum is a true feminist, and I look forward to seeing where this goes.

Ok, the body language in the “look of love” pic is a little bit captor/captee and I love it. EYE CONTACT. PS, KiKi and Lance are my fave Hollywood couple and I feel like they’d be great gossips.
