Hello and welcome to Gossip Time, a weekly guide to the stars by Allie Jones. This week: an actress meets the tabloids, an NBA star takes a paternity test, and Hilary Duff films an episode of The Bachelor.
In the first week of the year, Uncut Gems actress Julia Fox has appeared in more tabloid photos than just about anyone else, thanks to her whirlwind romance with one Kanye West. Fox, 31, and West, 44, met on New Year’s Eve in Miami and have since been spotted at two different Carbone locations and starred in an exclusive Interview feature about their second date. This girl is good!
Fox and West are still technically married to other people: West to Kim Kardashian and Fox to Peter Artemiev, a man she called a “dead beat alcoholic drug addict dad” on Instagram over the Christmas holiday. (Fox and Artemiev share a one-year-old son.) But Fox and West’s seemingly fraught divorces have not stopped them from enjoying each other’s company and the public attention that comes along with it. During their second date in New York, they went to see Slave Play on Broadway, had dinner at Carbone (“obviously”), and then retreated to a private hotel suite that West had stocked with designer clothes for Fox to model, taking photos at every stop along the way.
“Everything with us has been so organic,” Fox told Interview. “I don’t know where things are headed but if this is any indication of the future I’m loving the ride.”
And Fox and West are not the only ones benefitting from this relationship: West announced a collaboration between Yeezy, Gap, and Balenciaga today after Fox was seen wearing head-to-toe Balenciaga at Carbone, and a source close to Slave Play writer Jeremy O. Harris talked to People all about how much Fox and West enjoyed seeing the production. (West is a “fan” of Harris, and the two are “super buddy-buddy,” said this mysterious source.) Everyone is happy, and things can surely only go up from here.
Meanwhile, Kardashian, 41, and her current boyfriend (?) Pete Davidson, 28, spent part of the week in the Bahamas, where they were also photographed multiple times. This was their first official couples vacation, and according to Us Weekly, they are “getting serious” about each other. “Things have definitely escalated quickly but in a healthy, fun way,” a source said.
Less healthy and fun is the situation between Khloé Kardashian and her on-again, off-again boyfriend Tristan Thompson, which came to a head this week when Thompson took a paternity test that revealed he 100 percent fathered a child with another woman while he was supposed to be dating Khloé.
According to Us Weekly, Thompson, 30, has plans to somehow make it up to Khloé, 37. “Tristan wants to make everything right with Khloé,” a source told the tabloid. “He wants to win her back, but she will never take him back romantically after learning about his cheating. This was the final straw.”
Sure, sure, of course.
Breaking news: Justin Long has a girlfriend. And not just any girlfriend — she’s a famous actress. Who is it? First we have to rule out the 43-year-old actor-turned-podcast-host’s previous famous-actress girlfriends, including Drew Barrymore, Amanda Seyfried, Kirsten Dunst, and Maggie Q. Who’s left? If you guessed “Jaime King,” you are VERY close — it’s actually Kate Bosworth.
According to Page Six, Long and Bosworth, 38, have been dating since at least the fall, when they spent a “romantic weekend” in Estonia together. They first connected on a movie set in Arkansas in May, and Bosworth announced her divorce from her husband Michael Polish with an Instagram poem in August. Hmm. Wishing them all the best!
STUFF BY HILARY DUFF: Current ABC/Disney employee Hilary Duff apparently filmed an episode of the new season of The Bachelor, which airs on Monday. According to People, she hosted a “group date” where she helped the contestants plan a “Beverly Hills-style birthday party.” I’m in.
