Did Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet break up already? Absolutely not, says the respected voice of TMZ, which was no doubt informed by Kris Jenner herself. This week, the usually irrelevant tabloid Life & Style reported that Jenner, 25, and Chalamet, 27, had called it quits after seven quiet months of dating, but Life & Style was wrong.
“A report popped up Wednesday claiming Kylie'd been ‘dumped’ ... a story we're told couldn't be further from the truth,” TMZ proclaimed yesterday. “We’ve spoken to multiple sources close to the couple who tell us just because Kylie and the Wonka star haven't been seen together in public doesn't mean they've split. Our sources say everything is cool between the two, they're still an item, and ‘any reports that say otherwise are false.’ One source warned fans, ‘not to believe everything they read.’”
Hear that? Kris will not stand for any story suggesting that an Oscar nominee “dumped” her daughter. And that is what Life & Style said: The tabloid cited a source who claimed Kylie is “telling people that things between them naturally fizzled out because they’re both busy and traveling, but friends are whispering that Kylie got dumped.”
Rude friends. For the record, Jenner and Chalamet haven’t been spotted together since the beginning of June, and they are well overdue for a pap walk outside Giorgio Baldi or similar. Let’s hope Kris can get that going this week.
Also still together: Ariana Grande and her married new boyfriend Ethan Slater. But the controversial Broadway-loving couple is trying to make their relationship look less like an affair for the sake of their estranged spouses, so that’s nice.
“Ariana’s been told it’s too soon to go public with him and to take things slower,” an insider claimed to Us Weekly this week. “She’s very aware of how she’s perceived by her fans, and she’s trying to be mature. But if it were up to her, she’d be seen with him tomorrow.”
TMZ reports, meanwhile, that Grande, 30, is giving Slater, 31, some “space” to work out custody issues with his estranged wife Lilly Jay. According to the gossip outlet, Slater is in New York while Grande is waiting out the SAG strike — and this little scandal — in L.A. “We're told she and Ethan want to see each other, but that's not in the cards for the immediate future,” says TMZ.
People, meanwhile, reported this week that a source saw Slater walking around the city while FaceTiming Grande. True love waits!
Speaking of divorce, Jeremy Allen White and his estranged wife Addison Timlin looked pretty friendly this week at one of their kids’ soccer games:
Timlin made it seem like things were not amicable when she posted about being a “single mom” on Instagram in June, but it looks like she has softened since then. I wouldn’t be surprised if they reconcile.

Finally, let’s all wish Meghan Markle a very happy 42nd birthday today. According to the tabloids, she’s had a busy week: She saw Barbie with Portia de Rossi and friends on Monday in Montecito and ended the night by posing for photos with a bachelorette party at the San Ysidro Ranch hotel. (“Meghan went over to wish the bride good luck,” an eyewitness reveals.)
Then, on Wednesday, Meghan and Prince Harry were photographed at dinner together at Tre Lune. What will she get up to tonight? Hopefully we’ll find out on Instagram.
