Hello and welcome to Gossip Time, a weekly guide to the stars by Allie Jones. This week: a celebrity couple goes incognito, another celebrity couple goes to Wendy’s, and Justin Bieber wears sunglasses.
The holiday season is in full swing, and all around Hollywood and New York and in some cases, Montecito, celebrities are giving us updates on their sparkling love lives. Olivia Munn and John Mulaney recently celebrated their son’s first birthday by tooling around LaGuardia with a bag of fries from Wendy’s:
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a celebrity couple get papped inside LGA before, which means someone must have texted the photographer from the tarmac. They look happy!
Also in love: Olivia Jade, daughter of hardened criminal Lori Loughlin, and Jacob Elordi, the Australian Euphoria hunk who’s playing Elvis in Sofia Coppola’s upcoming interpretation of the Elvis story. (Not to be confused with Austin Butler, who played Elvis in Baz Luhrmann’s interpretation of the Elvis story and who is now dating Kaia Gerber, who used to date Elordi.)
Or, at least, I think this is them:
Jade, 23, and Elordi, 25, were photographed walking around a dog park together in L.A., and I wish everyone would respect their privacy.
Unfortunately, the third Olivia in this story does not have anyone with whom to hide from the vicious paparazzi. According to Us Weekly, Olivia Wilde is “still very much upset” about her breakup from Harry Styles. “Dating isn’t on her list of priorities,” the source added, which I think is a good thing. I still don’t know where we landed vis-à- vis the chatty nanny, and Wilde is going to need all her wits about her to deal with that situation.
Also suffering through a breakup is Bill Hader, who, it turns out, dated Ali Wong for at least two months this year and didn’t even tell us. According to Page Six, Hader, 44, and Wong, 40, had a magical romance that involved several members of the comedy community but no normal people. “Only a small circle of A-list comedians know and everyone was thrilled about it,” a source told the gossip outlet. But now, unfortunately, Hader and Wong are broken up. Maybe Hader can go back to Rachel Bilson, who misses him.
Perhaps the happiest little lovebird this December is Minka Kelly, who will also date Hader at some point in the next five years, but for now is obsessed with Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds. The two were first spotted holding hands last week, and already they are getting serious. “These are obviously early days for Minka and Dan but it’s going great and they’re both incredibly happy,” a source told Us Weekly. “They’re having fun, getting along great.”
Count me invested.
Of course, the greatest love story of all belongs to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. I heard that fact several times while watching the first two hours of the couple’s Netflix reality show last night. (I haven’t gotten to the third hour yet, but I hear Harry talks about his Nazi costume in that one — can’t wait.) These two are so in love, they say, and were so in love when they met in 2016, that they can’t be held responsible for anything they have done under the magical spell of being obsessed with each other. Additionally, they take really great photo-booth pictures together.
Not much gossip was revealed in this initial installment, unless you would be scandalized to learn that Prince Harry was late to the couple’s first date at the Soho House in London, and then Meg was late to their second date at the Soho House in London. Oh, and the first time Harry saw a photo of Meg, she had the Snapchat dog filter on. These two!
Next week’s three-hour bonanza promises to be more controversial, in that it will detail the couple’s loud quitting of the royal family back in 2020. Is there anything left for them to say that they haven’t already said to Oprah? Unfortunately, I will watch every minute to find out.
STUFF BY HILARY DUFF: Hilary Duff totally forgot she was on the cover of Women’s Health Australia.
Finally, I’ll leave you with this photo of the Biebers wearing sunglasses:
It wasn’t even sunny in New York this week.

i was wondering why they went to the same restaurant two nights in a row (local behaviour) but that it was a soho house makes it even funnier
