It’s the Peltz-Beckhams vs. the Beckhams, and no one is getting out unscathed, least of all Marc Anthony. Yes, Marc Anthony. What is happening?

Ever since Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, skipped Brooklyn’s dad David Beckham’s 50th birthday party in London last month — missing a chance to rub shoulders with Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas, among others — the tabloids have been furiously speculating about the cause of such a major rift in the famous family. There are a few really good theories, which we will investigate below.

Nicola and Victoria clashed during wedding planning

Rumors of a rift between the Peltzes and the Beckhams first circulated in April 2022, when Nicola and Brooklyn (now legally the Peltz-Beckhams) got married in front of two former Spice Girls (Sporty and Scary), Kiernan Shipka, and M. Night Shyamalan at the Peltz family’s $100 million oceanfront estate in Palm Beach. (Nicola is the daughter of the billionaire investor Nelson Peltz.)
