What happened with Phoebe Bridgers and Paul Mescal? 

In a word: Bo Burnham. Of course, we don’t know exactly how this situation went down, but here are the broad strokes. Bridgers, 28, and Mescal, 26, first connected on Twitter in 2020 and started dating shortly thereafter. They went “official” at the end of 2021, walking the red carpet at the LACMA Art+Film Gala together and posting pics of each other on Instagram. Then, in November of last year, The Guardian reported that the two were engaged. There were, however, online rumors that the duo had an open relationship.
