Hello and welcome to Gossip Time, a weekly guide to the stars by Allie Jones. This week: an actress and an actor get serious, a singer reveals a secret baby, and Megan Fox compares her outfit to grandma’s couch.
We don’t know when, exactly, Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum started dating. Kravitz, 33, filed for divorce from her husband Karl Glusman, 34, in December 2020, and the rumors about her and Tatum, 41, started days later. Tatum and Kravitz weren’t photographed together until the following August, however (the same month her divorce was finalized). So they’ve been together anywhere from 6 to 15 months. The important thing to know is that their relationship is “getting serious.”
A source close to Kravitz told Page Six that she is thinking about the future with Tatum. “Things are going great with Channing and she is incredibly happy,” the source said. “She is in a good place career-wise and he has a good record of being a dad.” (Tatum shares eight-year-old Everly Tatum with his ex-wife Jenna Dewan.)
Another source told People that Kravitz and Tatum “still have this playful energy that they have had since they first started dating.” And in case you were worried about them not being photographed together on little mini-bikes as much lately, there is a reason: “They were getting a lot of attention when they first stepped out together last summer,” the source added. “They seemed uncomfortable with the attention and have been much more discreet lately … They continue to spend time together on both coasts.”
Both coasts! That’s commitment. And it’s true: Kravitz and Tatum were recently photographed together getting dinner in Manhattan with Kravitz’s stepdad Jason Momoa (who may or may not be back together with Lisa Bonet after he announced the couple’s separation last month).
So what’s next for Catwoman and Magic Mike? Well, if People is to be believed, they will soon spend time in California, Oregon, or Washington. And according to Page Six’s source, Kravitz “wouldn’t mind having one kid.” I’m sure her future child will appreciate that sentiment.
Speaking of kids, Grimes and Elon Musk secretly had a second baby via surrogate in December. The 33-year-old singer accidentally broke the news in a Vanity Fair cover story published this week: the reporter, Devin Gordon, heard the new baby crying upstairs during the interview, and Grimes was forced to acknowledge her existence. Her name is Exa Dark Sideræl Musk. Musk, 50, and Grimes are already parents to one-year-old son X Æ A-Xii Musk. The couple has been dating on and off since 2018.
You may recall that Musk announced he had broken up with Grimes in a September interview with Page Six. But sometime after that, and before the birth of Exa Dark Sideræl, they got back together, as Grimes called Musk her “boyfriend” in the VF story. But then, according to Grimes, they broke up again. And now Grimes is dating Chelsea Manning.
A source told Page Six that the singer and the whistleblower, 34, have gotten serious, fast. “They U-Hauled it,” the source said. “They’ve been living together in Austin.”
Great! But what will become of Musk and Grimes’s relationship? Well, in the VF interview, Grimes said the now-ex-couple plans to have more children together — three or four in total. Musk, for the record, has five other children with his ex-wife Justine Musk. I wish all these kids the best.
Are you wondering whether or not Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers are going to get back together after breaking off their engagement but still seemingly hanging out all the time? Well, keep wondering, because Woodley doesn’t know.
A source told Us Weekly, “Shailene doesn’t know if she wants to get back together yet.” The source added that Rodgers does want to get back together, but again, Woodley doesn’t know if she wants that. We will just have to wait and see.
STUFF BY HILARY DUFF: Hilary Duff went to a Justin Bieber concert this week and had “The. Best. Time.”
Finally, I’ll leave you with this photo of Megan Fox walking around L.A.:
On Instagram, Fox compared her outfit to a grandma’s sofa, which is exactly what I thought of when I looked at her, too.
Thank you so much for subscribing to this newsletter! A programming note: Gossip Time will be on hiatus this spring, so I can work on another fun project. I’ve paused all paid subscriptions, and nobody will be charged until I start sending out these little emails again. I really, really appreciate everyone who has supported Gossip Time over the last 18 months, and I’m excited to get back to it soon. In the meantime, you can find me on Twitter sometimes and at Gawker.com more frequently. I love you!
I hope Zoë and Channing have one child. We deserve their genetic combo.
