Things are looking up, kinda, for Blake Lively. After all the chaos and extortion allegations last week, Justin Baldoni’s legal team quietly dropped the Taylor Swift subpoena yesterday. Whether this clears a path for Lively and Swift to mend their friendship remains to be seen, but at least Swift won’t be called to testify about whether or not she considers herself one of Lively’s dragons. Perhaps Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds knew this good news was coming, as they made a point to do a smiley pap stroll in New York on Sunday:
Lively also launched three new “hair and body mists” as part of her Blake Brown Beauty brand. The People headline on the announcement made me smile:
Also pap-strolling: Lively and Reynolds’s best buddy Hugh Jackman and his new-ish official girlfriend Sutton Foster. Jackman, 56, and Foster, 50, went on a pap stroll marathon back in January when they confirmed their relationship (to the chagrin of Jackman’s recent ex-wife Deborra-lee Furness). But they’ve been pretty quiet this spring until now. People got the exclusive photos of them holding hands on a New York sidewalk:

Fresh off insulting his wife during a pinnacle moment in her career, Justin Bieber was photographed walking around shirtless in Beverly Hills. A source tells Us Weekly that the 31-year-old pop star is in a “self-reflective and healing period.”
“Hailey tries to be there for him as much as she can,” the source continued. “She is very patient and accommodating and helps him a lot. She is the most supportive wife, and he feels grateful to have her. They have been through a lot, but have been in a good place these last few months.”
Bieber also took time yesterday to publicly support Chris Brown, who is currently out on bail in the U.K. after allegedly attacking a music producer with a tequila bottle in a London nightclub. Ah well.
In happier news, Kim Kardashian graduated from her self-directed law school program this week. It looks like she hosted a ceremony for herself in her backyard, complete with a podium and an office-siren dress code:

The 44-year-old entrepreneur has made no mention of taking the bar, however. The California state bar exam is scheduled for July 29 and 30 this year, and the final deadline to sign up is June 2. Kardashian previously failed the first-year exam, known as the “baby bar,” three times before ultimately passing it in 2021. I hope she has some time to study in the next two months.
