Hello and welcome to Gossip Time, a weekly guide to the stars by Allie Jones. This week: two models fight over an old guy, a pop star promotes a Marvel movie, and Hilary Duff tells her birth story.

Oh shit. Oh no. I am getting reports that Bradley Cooper, our second-favorite 49-year-old bachelor (after Leonardo DiCaprio) might be … kind of weird and dark in his personal life. Suki Waterhouse, the British model-turned-musician who dated Cooper when she was 21 and he was 38, talked about the relationship this week in a story for British Vogue. The portrait she painted of their relationship, which went on from 2013 to 2015, was not flattering.
“I really will say that I’m pretty strong at this point, but when something very public happens to you and the story behind it is dark and difficult, and you’re actually not doing well, and you can’t explain yourself to the world, that’s very isolating and disorientating,” she said of the breakup. “It probably has taken a decade to work myself out and actually be able to have this expansion in my life.”
“Your 20s are pretty sadistic,” she added. “The love I experienced [then] was only ever a fetishization, and I think when you only get loved in that way, you only get punished.”
It is interesting that she used the word “fetishization,” as the most famous paparazzi photos of Waterhouse, now 32, and Cooper together are probably the ones where he’s reading to her from Lolita:
As for their breakup, I went back to the Page Six archives to remember the circumstances and found some truly alarming reasoning from a Cooper source:
Bradley Cooper split from 23-year-old British beauty Suki Waterhouse because “she wasn’t supportive of his acting career” and “spent Valentine’s Day away” from the American Hustle star, says a source.
We’re told Cooper felt Waterhouse was not supportive after his huge success in Broadway’s Elephant Man, which started previews on Nov. 7 and ran till Feb. 21.
LMAO. Remember Elephant Man??? God forbid his 22-year-old girlfriend not be excited about that dramatic turn. Thankfully, Waterhouse has moved on and is currently parenting a new baby girl with her boyfriend, Robert Pattinson.
Her comments, however, have irked Cooper’s new model girlfriend, Gigi Hadid. According to a report from Life & Style (to be taken with a grain of salt but also was probably sourced by Yolanda Hadid herself), Hadid, 29, is “furious” with Waterhouse for talking badly about the guy she has been doing pap strolls with for the last nine months.
“They’ve fallen out, and there’s no indication that things will ever be the same for them,” a source told the tabloid. “Gigi is totally team Bradley and taking this up as her own cause. She isn’t about to let this go.”
It’s not clear to me that Hadid and Waterhouse were ever really friends: There is only one readily available photo of them together at a fashion event from years ago. They are, however, both individually close to Taylor Swift. Maybe she can adjudicate this case.
In the meantime, sources tell the Daily Mail that Cooper and Hadid are going to get married soon. Yay!
“Bradley has already determined that he is going to ask Gigi to marry him,” a source told the tabloid. “This is not even a question. They discussed family and marriage early on in their relationship. To be engaged and married within the next year is something nobody should be surprised about. They are ready to take the next step.”
The source also claimed that Cooper’s daughter Lea de Seine Shayk Cooper (with ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk) and Hadid’s daughter Khai Hadid Malik (with ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik) are like “sisters” already.
I just hope Hadid knows she must be very supportive of whatever amazing and very serious project Cooper has lined up for himself next.
Speaking of Hadid, she helped her gal pal Blake Lively promote her husband Ryan Reynolds’ new movie by dressing like this at the premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine this week:
Now THAT’s what I call feminism.
Swift also promoted the movie on Instagram with a post written in Reynolds’ classic comedic style:
And the pièce de résistance: Reynolds revealed the name of his fourth child with Lively (now about one year old) at the premiere. It’s Olin.
I am praying that this movie does well, because it seems very important to the people involved.
STUFF BY HILARY DUFF: Huge news in Hilary Duff world this week. After much anticipation (by me), Duff finally sat down with Dr. Elliot Berlin of the “Informed Pregnancy” podcast to detail the birth of her fourth child, Townes Meadow. Duff has done this (random and sometimes very strange podcast hosted by a pregnancy chiropractor) twice before, after the births of her daughters Banks Violet and Mae James, and they are genuinely some of my favorite interviews. She is just so winning when talking about pregnancy and birth and being a mom.
If you haven’t listened to any of these before, start at the beginning and treat yourself! Each interview is broken into two parts and there are no skips.
Finally, I will leave you with the thrilling news that Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are still together, as evidenced by these crystal clear photos of them eating breakfast together in France:
So cute.
